About Us

Who are we?

We’re two good friends who happened to find each other, both love photography and have (almost) the same name.

Our friendship formed fast and strong, and we quickly started bouncing ideas and photography techniques off each other.  Along each of our journeys into this art, we were helped along the way by other photographers willing to share their time and talent.  We’re now at a point where we feel we should start giving back.  We certainly don’t claim to know all there is to know about photography, but we’re willing to share what we can!

So which C(h)rista is which?

Christa of Dolce Photography … I am a girl that loves everything photography.  I am lucky to have a wonderful job as a teacher which allows me to have a perfect balance of two things that I love:  teaching and photography.  This blog is going to enable me to merge those two passions together. 🙂  I would like to say I am “self-taught,” but the truth of the matter is that my knowledge has come as the result of a generous group effort of various giving photographers.  I am glad to be able to share some of that information with other aspiring photographers.. be it enthusiasts, amateurs, or  professionals.

My own photography focuses on portraiture and events (mostly weddings.)

Crista of Crista Acosta Photography  – I’m a wife and a mom to a busy little one year old boy.  My husband and I are expecting our second child this spring and I’m hoping I have the sanity to deal with the whirlwind our life will be!  My photography is specialized in Portraits, and I focus primarily on Maternity, Newborn, Baby and Child Photography.
